FREE Monthly Guided Meditations at ArcoIris Studio
Sundays 10:00 – 11:00 starting April 15th, 2012

MeditationsMeditation is quite simple. It is the ability to quiet your mind and focus inward. That’s all. It sounds easy enough, but it is a skill you must continue to hone; the more you practice, the better you will get at it and the easier it will become to apply it to your daily living activities. We will guide you through a series of techniques (self-awareness, breath awareness, relaxation, and meditation techniques) to help you tune-out and tune-in. Bring your favorite meditation pillow.

Please call us at 514-482-2726 or email us at info@arociris.ca
to let us know if you will join us on Sunday, April 15th, May 20th,
June 17th, July 15th, or August 19th at 10:00.

    Can massages help cancer patients?

It certainly can't hurt in many cases, according to massage therapist Sandra Avendano and homeopath Martin Picard. Working with the Jewish General Hospital's One in Three Forum,

the team held a seminar about the benefits of this particular form of complimentary medicine.

One in Three points out that, "dating back thousands of years, massage therapy is more than just an effective method to unwind from the stresses of life. Today’s scientific evidence validates massage as a treatment benefiting those with a range of conditions, including those living with cancer."

Listen to Sandra and Martin chat with Ric and Suzanne on CJAD’s 800 News-Talk-Radio...

        Pre and Post Natal Massage

We are pleased to announce that Pre and Post Natal massage is a specialized modality here at AI. By popular demand we are offering massage to expectant women who often feel sore in the lower back, sciatic nerve, thighs, and a host of other areas as the baby grows and develops. Pre-Natal massage demands special training and Sandra has the credentials to offer this dedicated modality. Likewise, Post-Natal massage, particularly for those who have experienced a caesarian section can drastically reduce the effects of scar tissue on the abdomen. Call us for details.
