Can massage help with cancer patients?...
It certainly can't hurt in many cases, according to massage therapist Sandra Avendano and homeopath Martin Picard. Working with the Jewish General Hospital's One in Three Forum,
the team held a seminar about the benefits of this particular form of complimentary medicine.
One in Three points out that, "dating back thousands of years, massage therapy is more than just an effective method to unwind from the stresses of life. Today’s scientific evidence validates massage as a treatment benefiting those with a range of conditions, including those living with cancer."

Full Moon. At its full, the moon subtly increases the amount of energy available from our bodies, thus making healing work or setting our intentions performed during this phase much more powerful. Just as the moon rules the tides, so, too, does it rule the tides of our body’s energy. Our bodies are approximately 60-80% water and our brains are 85% water!
Reiki Healing Circle Therapy is a technique that the Reiki Master uses to connect with your Higher Self (your Divine light) to create harmony within yourself. In this multifaceted self-care course learn the skills and techniques of basic self-massage to ease muscle tension and stiff joints. Improve strength, mobility and flexibility with gentle yoga stretching and learn strategies for stress management and anxiety reduction.

What: CSU 101’s Introduction to Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese energetic healing technique used for stress reduction. Reiki is translated into English as Universal Life Force Energy which is derived from two Japanese words Rei = Universal Energy and Ki (or Chi) = Life Force.
Reiki is performed on a fully clothed participant lying down on the floor or on a massage table. The Reiki practitioner channels Universal Life Force Energy through the human energy field by laying their hands along the participant’s seven energy centers called the Chakras.
In this 8 week course, we will teach the Usui Method of Natural Healing Technique Level I. Students will learn: the history of Reiki, the 5 principles of Reiki, Reiki techniques (hand positions), meditation and relaxation techniques; and they will receive a Level 1 attunement and a Level 1 Certificate which permits them to go on to Level II (there are up to three levels in the Usui Shiki Rhyoho Method).
