The story of how ArcoIris Refined Massotherapies came to be, literally began on the massage table...
A talented and gifted practitioner, Sandra had decided to take the leap and open her own business, specializing in Massage Therapy. The business grew; the product was a good one and Sandra’s clients were loyal and enthusiastic about the service that went beyond massage and incorporated a holistic approach to relaxation, goal setting, stress management and energy work. But by the fall of 2006, Sandra wanted more for her vision of a business that could inspire people to do more and go further.
In November 2006, a new client was introduced to the practice; she had been given a Swedish Massage as a gift. Skeptical by nature, the client found the first massage a good but not necessarily a transformative experience, yet, she booked another session; she was intrigued by the practitioner’s intuitive manner.
To make a long story short (or a short story shorter), that client was Stefani and she and Sandra became friends, often talking after her massage sessions. The topics varied from Kabbalah to visual artists and Eastern philosophies, Complementary Medicine and stress management to Yoga. Sandra had even convinced Stefani to try some Reiki.
One day during a power walk in the summer of 2007, the conversation turned to business and Sandra’s great frustration with not being able to take that next step; to take the business further. And yet, it seemed so obvious to Stefani; all the business needed was a little organization and some focus. The possibilities seemed endless!
And the seeds of a partnership were planted.
So, how do two people who are so obviously different manage in business together? How does a right-brained practitioner and artist work with a left-brained Educator and Consultant? Well, both have a passion for the business and strive to give the very best of what they offer to their clients.
The result is ArcoIris Refined Massotherapies. A business that has now grown to serve some 150 clients across the city, teaches classes at Concordia University, Mom and Tot Baby-Toddler Massage class, Couples’ Massage, group Reiki, group Meditation, workshops on stress-management and is ever expanding.
